The performer also dreams of working with Gary V

Guji Lorenzana released a heartfelt music video for “Be Alright,” a song he wrote for his late mother who fought with cancer for almost two years.

During the music video launch, Guji shared that he penned the song to promote cancer awareness and to help his mother fight her battle against cervical cancer.

“I wrote this song initially to help bring up her mood, to encourage her that everything is gonna be okay. And then when she passed away, I realized that this song has a different meaning for me,” he tells MB Entertainment.

To promote his advocacy and create a music video, the singer-actor got in touch with several cancer organizations in the Philippines, USA, and UK. “I talked to other organizations for cancer awareness and they contributed messages that they wanted to tell the people who are fighting with cancer and coping with loss. So this became a big message that no matter what, things will be okay.”

Even though Guji is known as a Kapamilya actor, he revealed that he wants to focus more on his passion for music. “Kasi nag-start talaga ako sa music eh. I was introduced as a singer under Star Magic and then I ended up to the artista side of things, so nag-artista ako.
