It’s been more than 20 years since Piolo Pascual joined the entertainment scene and at this point in his career, the multifaceted performer has rightfully earned the privilege to choose which roles, projects, and endorsements to accept.
Now after the success of Since I Found You, his most recent teleserye with with Arci Muñoz, the actor shares that he’ll be “staying away from soap life” so that he can concentrate on other projects.
“Well, definitely I’m slowing down. TV-wise, at least I’ve got a sitcom, I’ve got ASAP for my hosting and singing. But acting-wise, I’m focusing more on films aside from the producing part. But I’m doing a lot of on-ground activities with different brands and ABS-CBN,” he explains.
Piolo is also co-producing Robin Padilla’s upcoming movie Children of the Lake, helmed by award-winning director Joyce Bernal.
“There’s a lot of surprising projects that I’m working on, which I’m not allowed to talk about yet,” he adds.
The 41-year-old star also renewed his endorsement with Mega Sardines, which espouses #MegaGandaAngBuhay, derived from the phrase “may igaganda ang buhay.”
In a short chat with MB Entertainment, Piolo reveals what “magandang buhay” means for him.
“To be able to live, to be able to wake up to a new day, it’s a #MegaGandangBuhay already,” he shares. “To be given the chance to make things right in each day that you wake up. And to be able to enjoy the fruits of your hard work, the blessings of having a family around, good partnership with people, in the business and in your personal (life).”
The actor also says that one may look at different perspectives, but once he sees the beauty of life, a person would start to appreciate the things around him.
When asked about tips or a piece of advice which he can share to the industry’s new generation of performers, he had this to say: “A lot of hard work, especially now that the transition is so fast. So dedication, commitment, hard work, humility, and talent.”
