Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino reunite in ‘Exes Baggage’
The real life exes still has undeniable chemistry

Almost a decade after their breakup, Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban prove that exes can still be friends.

During the media launch of their new film Exes Baggage, ‘CarGel’ undeniably still had that strong chemistry. The two even reminisced about their romantic past and shared intimate details of what really happened to the relationship.

Naging kami tapos naghiwalay kami,” the actress revealed when asked about their breakup. “Ganyan ‘yung ginawa niya sa akin. Nagpa-cute ulit, tapos ito na naman, tuwang-tuwa ako, ayun na-fall. Naging kami ulit. Dalawang beses naging kami.”

She also shared that the second time around didn’t last long. “Iyong pangalawang beses, hindi na siya sure…Hindi na niya alam kung iyon ‘yung gusto niya, kung ito pa rin ba ang gusto niya.”

Carlo on the other hand revealed that he kept Angelica’s old photos and diaries. He even joked that he would love to post it on his Instagram stories soon.

“Meron siyang ibinigay sa akin na video na may kanta ni Enya. Hindi ko makita, inis na inis ako. Ang nakita ko lang yung mga photos namin, ‘tsaka yung mga diary niya. Nasa akin pa ‘yung mga diary niya. Hindi niya alam naitago ko pa ‘yun after ilang taon,” Carlo shares.

Coincidentally, Angelica and Carlo’s real-life reunion led the film producers to cast them in the film, knowing that many of their fans are still waiting for the two actors to work together again.

Exes Baggage follows the story of Pia (Angelica Panganiban) and Nix (Carlo Aquino). Despite their baggage from previous relationships, both take a chance on each other. Nix believes he can save Pia, while Pia believes that Nix is the kind of man he needs in her life.

The film is directed by Dan Villegas (Changing Partners and All Of You) and written by Dwein Baltazar (Gusto Kita With All My Hypothalamus). It’s also the launching project of ABS-CBN’s Black Sheep production.

Exes Baggage opens in cinemas nationwide on September 26.
