Pregnancy is one of the most exciting journeys of motherhood. To feel that life growing inside the womb creates a special bond between a mother and her child. It’s the same with Isabel Oli-Prats. During the opening of baby brand Combi House in Manila, Isabel gladly shares with us the details on her second pregnancy.
Isabel, Combi House’s new ambassador, will soon be a mom of two. She openly admits that she and husband John Prats had been praying hard for some time for a second child. After more than a year, their heartfelt prayers have been heard. “Getting pregnant in itself is a miracle. It took us one year and six months ata trying. Then ayun, sobra naman lahat ibinigay. Ang hinihingi na lamang is sana healthy,” she says.
Now on her six month, Isabel shares that her pregnancy is more challenging and sensitive than her first one.
“With the first baby, I had parang two weeks of bed rest lang. Doon ako napuyat. This one it took me parang four months talaga. May nakita sila inside, like there is blood kasi, so I need to rest talaga.” This affects Isabel’s work routine, and the projects that she can accept. “I am currently working ulit. Two weeks pa lang kasi ayaw ng OB ko na bigla galing nga sa bed rest. So walang workout, walang exercise. Wala talaga,” she explains.
Isabel says that it wasn’t a challenge when they told their eldest Feather about becoming a big sister. Her panganay loves babies. “She has cousins din kasi na mga babies pa with my other sister-in-laws, and puro girls din kasi so ayun parang nae-excite siya,” she ends.
After giving birth, the actress is planning to take a one year leave from all of her work engagements to personally take care of her baby.
